Caravans

This field is gradually sloping with panoramic views of the Bristol Channel. Some pitches also have the benefit of beautiful views across the sweep of Oxwich Bay – a beautiful vista to sit and enjoy at the end of the day.

The field also enjoys direct access on to the coastal path.  From here you can walk east towards Three Cliffs Bay or west towards Oxwich.  You can also access the vast sandy beaches of Crawley and the smaller Tor Bay.

Our pitches are level, the majority are hard standing, and all have an electric hook up.  The pitches are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Facilities

The washroom on this field is open 24/7 and has individual male and female facilities as well as a laundry which has washing and drying machines. We also have drying cabinets which you may find useful for drying your waterproof clothing and boots on those (hopefully) rare wet days we have occasionally!

We also have free fridges and freezers in the dishwashing area of our amenity block on the farmyard for the use of customers.  We have a service area where you can conveniently fill up with fresh water, and dispose of grey-water and chemical waste.

This area also includes a dog-wash and outdoor showers to rinse wet-suits and surfboards.

2024 season

  • Electric hook-up
  • Up to 2 adults and 3 children
  • One vehicle on site
  • Dogs (up to 2 per booking)
  • Awnings
  • Free shower facilities
  • Free Wi-Fi (available on the whole site)

Local attractions

A gate at the bottom of the field steps out directly onto the Gower Coastal Path – from here you can walk east towards Tor and Three Cliffs bays, or west towards Oxwich, and the rest of Gower for the energetic campers.

The walk down through Crawley Woods and over the dunes will get you to the beach in about 10 minutes.

It is only accessible on foot and so you will always find plenty of quiet space on this 2 mile stretch of golden sand. For those with our 4-legged friends, it is dog friendly all year round.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

When do you open for 2024 bookings?

We usually open our bookings for the following year in about June/July time.  Please keep an eye on our website for up to date information.

Can I pay for my reservation by credit/debit card on your website?

Yes.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

You can arrive for check-in from midday onwards.  Please try not to arrive prior to this as we need time to prepare the pitches. On your departure day you should check out by 11:00 am.

Do you accept dogs at Nicholaston Farm?

Yes, we are pleased to welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs (with well behaved owners) per reservation. We ask that dogs be kept on short lead while on site. We know that dogs leave deposits and so we ask that owners clean them up as well. We also have a dog wash on our caravan field if you wish to wash the sand and mud off before you let them back in to your home-from-home

What is the latest time I can arrive?

Our latest check-in time is 9:30pm. If you are unexpectedly delayed whilst travelling then please call us on 01792 371209 to let us know.

Can I request a specific pitch?

No. Our pitches are unallocated and taken by campers on a first-come first-served basis. If more than one family is coming we are quite happy if the first to arrive reserves a spot for the following family as long as they are arriving on the same day.
